Go (aka iGo, Wei ch'i, weiqi, Baduk) I am at best a raw beginner, but an extremely fascinating game. I am in the process of building goban (playing tables). See below.

..........of course, with this amount of diversity, I cannot claim to be an expert at any of them. It's just that mind games fascinate me, and I anjoy direct competition.
Sinker Cypress Block: (23cm thick = 9 inch)
this piece, dimensions: 51.0cm length x 43.5cm width x 23.1cm thick rough cut, very wet (saturated). Estimated drying time: 3 years.
Center cut, very tight grain pattern (>10 rings/cm on outside edges) small itame pattern on center of board. 100% clear. Some checking may appear as the wood dries.
I have available two pieces at 15cm thick, and more on the way. One of these has a lengthwise crack on both surfaces.
